The NHL’s 31st franchise, the Vegas Golden Knights, has found their AHL-affiliate. The club announced Tuesday that they have reached a five-year agreement with the Chicago Wolves, who’s deal with the St. Louis Blues will not be extended beyond this season.

St. Louis general manager, Doug Armstrong, announced that the team will “associate with the Vegas Golden Knights and supply players to the Golden Knight’s AHL affiliate next season”.

As for an ECHL affiliate, it is expected that Reno, NV will be granted an expansion franchise for the 2018-19 season.
