James Harden is on fire. Still. On Thursday night at home against Portland, he scored 26 points, adding 14 assists, and 12 rebounds, as the Rockets bounced past the Blazers 126-109. The triple-double is already Harden’s third of the season, and the 12th of his career, second only behind the great Hakeem Olajuwon (14) in team history. This season, Harden is averaging 28.5 points, 12.8 assists (1st in the NBA), and 8.2 rebounds per game.
The win moved the Rockets to 7-5 on the season, as they await a visit from the Jazz tomorrow afternoon. The Blazers, falling to 7-6 early in the campaign, travel to New Orleans to take on Anthony Davis and the Pelicans tonight.
